Now is your chance to get involved with the Friends! You don’t have to be a member to volunteer. We have several opportunities below. If you have any questions please email: comments@fomlsp.org
We ask that if you sign up for an event and cannot make it to PLEASE CONTACT US even if it’s at the last minute, so we can rapidly make other arrangements for your time slot.
- We need volunteers to help with movie night this Friday, 8/7. Assist with set up and popcorn! Please call the office to sign up at 518-793-0511
- Hiking Challenge in need of volunteers to help guide, sweep at the back of the pack and assist with anyone in need of assistance. Please call the office for questions and to sign up at 518-793-0511. Upcoming hikes are:
- August 16th – Spier falls overlook 5 miles with an elevation gain/loss of about 900 ft.
- September 6th- High Rock Loop about 6 miles with an elevation gain/loss of about 900 ft.
- October 11th- Spring Overlook (my way) 3.2 miles with elevation gain/loss of about 700 feet.
Below you will find two documents that are required to be completed prior to volunteering during Friend’s sponsored events and MLSP park events in which you are participating as a volunteer.
The documents are valid for one calendar year and once completed will be securely stored in the park manager’s office.
