An eagle scout candidate from Wilton BSA troop 4024G (Girls), Dana Schmid, has begun a project to benefit Moreau Lake State Park! The project concerns building an overlook on back pond from the nature trail that is accessible for those who fall under the American Disabilities Act. It will work in tandem with the trail renovations that recently received grant funding and tie into a master plan being developed to increase accessibility to the park. The building of the overlook is expected to take place in May-June of 2022. The photo in the post is a rendering of the design.
Supporting this project supports the park and provides access to those who may otherwise not be able to enjoy.
