Perseid Meteor Shower Hour

The Perseid (Per-see-id) meteor shower is going to be a very cool thing to see in the night sky between July and August because it will be very bright and visible to us on Earth. In 2024 the Perseid meteor shower is active between July 17th and August 24th. The shower will peak August 11th-13th.
We are bringing in our volunteer astronomer to talk more about the wonders of meteors and comets and tell you when and how to look for the Perseid Meteor Shower on your own.
The program is $5 per adult and $1 per child (cash or check) at the park office when you arrive. PLEASE RESERVE your spot 24-hours in advance by calling the office at 518-793-0511.
