Moreau Lake State Park provides many opportunities for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Many folks don’t realize that our Park land is located on both sides of the Hudson River. One of the more unique areas is found along the back waters and coves of the Hudson River by Potter’s Point. This image was taken at sunset as a cold front was passing through. This area can be easily accessed by paddling downstream about a mile from the Sherman Island Boat Launch, off of Spier Falls Road. You can also park at the very end of Potter Road and walk down to the river. There is a gate and a small (six cars) parking area.
