iNaturalist Tutorial

iNaturalist, do YOU naturalist? Join an educator at the nature center for a lesson on how to set up and use an iNaturalist account, followed by a brief walk to test our your skills and kick-start your new account.
iNaturalist is a community science app for those who have a love for the outdoors. Users photograph, identify, and learn about the life around them. Observations are reviewed to ensure accuracy in IDs so that they can be used in scientific research characterizing migration/seasonal patterns and ecology on a large scale. Geared for ages 14+. Class is $5 per adult, $1 for under 18 (cash or check). Park tollbooth fees are waved in lieu of program fees, be sure to call 24-hours in advance to reserve your spot by calling the office at 518-793-0511.
