“The Big Night” Discussion on Amphibian Migration

Why did the amphibian cross the road? To get to the vernal pool! Join a Nature Center educator to learn about “the Big Night”, a warm rainy day at the start of spring when all of the amphibians come out of brumation. We will discuss NYSDEC Amphibian Migration and Road Crossing Project where volunteers collect data and help amphibians’ cross busy roads. Geared toward ages 13+ but all are welcome.
