SUMMARY:Drawdown Scheduled for Sherman Island Hydropower Facility
DESCRIPTION:Brookfield Renewable U.S. will commence with a drawdown of the headpond at the Sherman Island Hydropower facility in Queensbury\, NY. The drawdown is scheduled to begin on Sunday May 19th and conclude on May 23rd. The water will be restored to current level after the work is complete. This drawdown will impact the water level at the public access in Town of Moreau. \nDue to weather conditions\, the schedule is subject to change without prior notice. \nPlease use caution and wear a personal flotation device when recreating on or near water. SUMMARY:Secret Life of Snakes
DESCRIPTION:Come to the Nature Center to learn about our resident snakes. Some people have misconceptions around snakes but we will put those concerns and myths to rest while talking about all the cool things snakes offer the world. After the class we will go for a short walk and see if we can find any snakes out in the wild. (hike will be weather permitting). This program requires 24 advance sign up and will cost $1 per child.
