Barred Owl Released at Moreau Lake State Park

“Caring for Wildlife in the North Country” is a great article by Lawrence White in this month’s 518 Profiles Magazine.

In December, NYS Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator, Nancy Kimball, released a female Barred Owl who had been injured by a car. The owl was originally found near Spier Falls Road. After months of recovery and rehabilitation, the moment came when she was released back into her natural habitat. A very special thank you to Nancy Kimball and North Country Wild Care for the work they do to assist our wild life throughout our region. You can also learn more about Nancy’s work on our NatureFest.org website.
